Creative Lesson

     My classmate and I created a lesson plan for a Grade 5 science lesson, including a creative aspect. We decided to use Canva to have the students create a map showing the climate in a specific region and then have them present it as if they were meteorologists, informing us about the climate of that region and how it affects the people. 

We explained this lesson to our peers and we felt this lesson went really well when we presented it to our peers. Canva is easily accessible and easy to use. The options for differentiation including presenting on Canva if certain students did not want to present to the class. Our peers enjoyed the lesson and seemed engaged in what they were being taught. Although we were not able to do the presentations with this group, I do believe that our class would be just as engaged and increase their understanding of climate and how it affects people.

             With every generation, new technology is built to help make jobs easier; AI is that new technology for this generation. There is a lot of good that it can do, but it can also be taken advantage of. It has allowed students to avoid doing their work altogether and use the program to complete it for them. I have used AI in both my studies and my personal life. It can help you write concisely or expand your thoughts into more words. It can edit your work for you and even give you ideas for your writing. In my personal life, I have used it to help me write emails to sound more professional. I have also used it to help me create invites with wording that explains everything in non-confusing wording. I have used it for school to create abstracts of my papers, help give me ideas for assignments, and reword instructions to help me understand them.
